Last-Minute Monsters: 3 Ways to Reach Halloween Ticket Buyers Before Event Day

You’re a few days out, looking at ticket sales and wondering where everyone is. Meanwhile, the group chat is still deciding who’s going and what the group costume is.

We saw that last-minute buying play out in the data: of the 100,000+ eligible paid Showpass orders we analyzed for Halloween events across 52 cities in 2025, approximately 40% were placed within the final 48 hours before the event started.*

Those last two days need a place in your marketing plan. Save some budget, keep your event in front of people, and remind anyone who left tickets in their cart to finish booking. When the group chat finally agrees, make sure your ticket link is right there.

‍

Here are three ways to put Showpass to work.

‍

1. Follow up on unfinished carts automatically

They finally picked their tickets and started checking out, then someone calls, dinner’s ready, or that one friend changes the plan again. Next thing you know the customer forgets they were going to buy tickets and you've lost a customer.

Showpass’s abandoned-cart emails give eligible buyers a reminder and a direct link to finish their purchase. Reminders are sent approximately one hour after abandonment, provided tickets remain available, the event starts more than four hours later, and the buyer meets the purchase and unsubscribe conditions.

Put it into practice: Before your final push, check that abandoned-cart emails are enabled for your organization.

Then open Abandoned Carts in your Showpass dashboard to review email activity, recovered carts, and recovered revenue. You can filter the reporting by event or date. In this reporting, a recovered cart means a purchase completed after a reminder was sent.

This gives interested buyers another way back without your team manually following up on every unfinished checkout.

2. Keep checkout close with Showpass purchase widgets

Your marketing has done its job: someone is on your website and ready to buy. Now it is time to make the next step unavoidable.

Showpass purchase widgets let you bring ticket purchasing directly into your website, either embedded in the page or opened as a pop-up. The widgets support a mobile-optimized buying experience, so visitors can purchase without navigating away to a separate ticketing site.

Put it into practice: Place a clear “Get Tickets” button beside your event details and connect it to your Showpass purchase widget.

Before launching your campaign, follow the journey on your phone. Open your ad or email link, find the ticket button, and check that the date, ticket options, and next steps are clear.

For a buyer sorting out tonight’s plans, a straightforward path from “that looks fun” to checkout matters.

3. Bring interested buyers back with Meta retargeting

Someone visits your event page, checks the lineup, and leaves to see who else wants to go. That visit doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve decided against your event.

Showpass supports Meta Pixel and Conversions API integrations, helping you connect activity on your ticketing pages with your advertising. The Pixel integration records actions including page views, additions to cart, checkout starts, and purchases. Those signals can support measurement and retargeting through your Meta ad account.

Put it into practice: Set up your tracking before the campaign launches. Build an audience in Meta of people who have shown interest, then give them a timely reason to come back.

Your final reminder could highlight the experience, the event date, or a real ticket deadline. Where your audience setup allows it, exclude people who have already purchased.

The goal is simple: keep your event in the conversation while people are making their plans.

Be ready when they are

Your buyers might leave it late, but your setup doesn’t have to.

Connect your tracking, check your cart reminders, and make your checkout easy to find before the final rush. Then keep your marketing going while people are still deciding.
