Showpass has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Bounced Inc. (“Bounce”), a campus life platform focused on helping students discover events, connect with their communities, and build stronger campus experiences.
The acquisition will expand Showpass’s presence across more than 70 per cent of Canada’s top-ranked university campuses and bring stronger event technology to a market that has long been underserved.
The acquisition represents a major investment in the future of technology powering campus life. By bringing Showpass and Bounce together, student unions, athletics departments, arts programs, clubs, and campus organizers will have access to better tools to promote events, sell tickets, manage entry, understand attendance, and support the many experiences that help students feel more connected to their campus community.
For students, campus events are often where belonging begins. Whether it’s a home opener, a student union event, a theatre production, a club night, or a long-standing school tradition, these moments help students find their people, build memories, and feel part of something bigger than their class schedule.
“Over 66 per cent of Canadian university students reported feeling very lonely in the past year. Between a new city, new people, and no built-in community, it can be difficult for students to find their place,” said Sean Monteiro, Founder of Bounce. “Bounce was created to change that. Partnering with Showpass helps us further our mission of helping students find their people, discover what’s happening around them, and build the friendships and memories that define the university experience.”
Campus events are not one-size-fits-all. Universities often need more complex infrastructure for programs like athletics, theatre, and arts, including memberships, assigned seating, season passes, and detailed reporting. Student unions and clubs often need tools that make it easier to support high-volume student-led events, manage approval processes, gather event information, promote programming, and understand participation.

As a first step in this partnership, Showpass has introduced Showpass Campus, a custom campus solution built for the way universities and student unions actually run events. Showpass Campus brings student programming, clubs, athletics, arts, and campus traditions into one connected event platform, giving each organization the tools they need while helping students discover more of what is happening around them.
With Showpass Campus, universities and student unions can manage complex event setups, support student access, promote programming, sell tickets, manage memberships and season passes, track attendance, understand engagement, and run cleaner financial operations from one platform.
By bringing these needs together, Showpass will be able to support more of the campus event ecosystem from one connected platform. This creates an opportunity for campuses to better connect athletics, arts, student programming, clubs, and campus traditions into one stronger student experience.
“This is a huge step forward for campus life,” said Lucas McCarthy, Founder & CEO of Showpass. “University events are not all run by one team. Athletics, theatre, arts, student unions, clubs, and campus programming often have different needs, budgets, and systems. Showpass is one of the few event technology platforms built to support the full spectrum of campus life, and with Bounce, we can bring those worlds together to create a more connected student experience.”
When completed, the acquisition will strengthen Showpass’s ability to serve the full event lifecycle across campus communities, from discovery and promotion to ticketing, operations, reporting, and growth.
